Comfort In Care is a new initiative launching this year through the Candy Cane Project. This program is dedicated to supporting children facing difficult and uncertain circumstances—specifically those experiencing long-term hospital stays and those entering or navigating the foster care system.
Our mission is simple: to bring comfort, reassurance, and a sense of care during what can be an overwhelming time. Each child receives a thoughtfully assembled Comfort Bag filled with items designed to provide both emotional support and moments of joy. These bags include a cozy blanket, five fidget toys, a teddy bear, coloring books, colored pencils, and stickers.
In our first year, we are proud to partner with Alliance for Children’s Hospital and Children’s Health Hospital in Plano to begin distributing these Comfort Bags. As we grow, we hope to expand our reach and support even more children and organizations in need.
If your organization serves children who could benefit from this program, we would love to connect with you. And if you’re interested in supporting Comfort In Care through donations or involvement, please visit our “How to Help” page for more information.
Together, we can make a meaningful difference—one small act of comfort at a time.
